Dr. Juliet Whitaker MA MB BChir DPM MIRP
Juliet graduated with a 1st Class Honours Degree in Medicine from Trinity Hall Cambridge, in June 1988 and in the same year rowed for the Blondie crew in the Cambridge v Oxford Women's Boat Race. She went on to complete her clinical training at St. Thomas's Hospital London, before returning to Cambridge to site her final examinations in 1991, passing with Honours. She spent ten years in NHS clinical practice, working through General Medical and Surgical training posts, and subsequently Paediatrics, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Accident & Emergency and Palliative Care as part of a Vocational Training Scheme in General Practice. Most importantly this lead to opportunity to work and train in Psychiatry, a speciality to which Juliet subsequently returned, and remained with for five years. A chance meeting during a career break precipitated by personal injury, led Juliet to accept an entirely new challenge in Healthcare Recruitment in the summer of 2000. The initial intention was always to return to clinical practice, but one thing led to another, and the next nine years saw Juliet developing her envied and much renowned reputation for specialist Mental Health recruitment services to the NHS and Independent Sector; a reputation underpinned by the highest standards of ethical professional practice and quality of service to all who worked with her.
