Mind Professionals is urgently seeking NMC Registered Mental Health Nurses with community experience for a new locum assignment with British Military Forces UK.

Specific responsibilities include:

-Carry out clinical assessment for all referred patients, paying particular attention to occupational comment and management suggestions (as directed in AP1269).
-To assess all combat casualties on admission to DMRC. The use of the bespoke assessment tool is to be strictly adhered to.
-Ensuring strict adherence to professional standards expected by the Commanding Officer.
-Ensuring that high Clinical standards are maintained.
-To assist Officer Commanding Mental Health with identifying treatment outcomes.
-To assist Officer Commanding Mental Health in gathering monthly statistics on productivity.
-Complying with Health and safety.
-To offer occupational advice with regards to patients psychological state.
-Offer patient focused consultation to supporting staff groups such as social work and occupational therapy.

ESSENTIAL COMPETENCES
a) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - Introduction course (5 days)
b) Motivational Interviewing - Focusing on alcohol use (2 days)
c) Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing course - (levels 1-3)
d) Trauma Risk Management (TRiM) - Practitioner
