An excellent Locum Occupational Therapist opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 to work alongside Military personnel in the Home Counties. Required for a soon as possible start, until 30th July 2012.
Required in a musculo-skeletal rehab setting, you would be working with patients with Lower limb injuries, amputations and traumatic brain injuries. Pain management is a key part of the role, as well as the normal OT treatment (functional Ax, assessment for work, home visits, psychological support).
Duties will include
Providing highly specialist assessment and treatment of complex patients with upper limb injury/trauma/ musculoskeletal
Provide Mental health support to patients as part of their treatment.
Communicate effectively both verbally and in reports to consultants, other team members and outside agencies.
Participate in audit and training within the team.
You will need to be:-
HPC registered
Have a professional OT qualification
Current enhanced CRB
Previous experience of working with Military personnel would be an advantage.
