PSYCHIATRY SHO, three month locum to permanent post. Mind Professionals, appointed in sole partnership to one of Britains leading Independent providers of psychiatric care and the largest outsourcing provider to the NHS of acute and intensive care psychiatry, is looking to appoint a PSYCHIATRY SHO for a three month locum post to commence as soon as possible, with a view to becoming permanent.

The brand new, purpose built 40 bed low secure hospital just opened in the MIDLANDS, offers intensive assessment and multiprofessional treatment services for adults with enduring mental illness detained under the mental health act.

The post offers full approval and Royal College postgraduate programme support for MRCPsych training in association with regional training centers close by; under the supervision of the hospitals Medical Director, an approved MRCPsych trainer. Commitment is full time 40 hours per week, with a 1 in 3 or 4 on call rota.

Superb hourly pay rate for the locum contract, with highly attractive salary and additional benefits package on offer for the permanent post, to be negotiated in accordance with experience level.

Minimum eligibility criteria:

+ Full GMC Registration & Licence to Practice
+ Minimum of four months UK adult psychiatry experience at SHO or equivalent level, in recognised training post (locum or substantive).
+ Familiarity and Competency with CPA and tribunal report writing, essential.
+ Previous experience in Low Secure setting preferred, but not essential
+ MRCPsych part 1 preferred but not essential
+ Enhanced CRB Disclosure dated within 12 months will be required to commence in post.
